Areas of application of the WPB stain

WPB stain is meant for parquet and wooden floors, followed by a protective layer. WPB 1000 also suitable for thinning / tilting of colored WPB stains. If necessary, pre-treat critical wood types with colorless WPB 1000 (rolling / spraying) and polish with single-disc polisher and white pad until the surface is dry. This way, differences in surface roughness are leveled and a uniform stain is achieved with the color stains.

General guidelines for the processing of pickling

In order to obtain a good result, think of the following: pickling is a professional activity and requires a certain experience. Preferably apply to hardwood species such as oak and beech. The wood reacts differently, depending on the application and the containing substances as well as the sanding treatment, and influences the color and the effect of the pickling to an undoubted extent. Especially the direction of the fiber of the wood at e.g. whirls and knots etc. is occasionally sharply accentuated. This applies in particular to wood species with fine pores such as beech and maple. Tannic acid woods, such as oak, can turn to a yellow-brown hue in pastel colors. This discoloration occurs to an increased extent with Hydrolaks. Wood is a natural product that is subject to aging. Light and lightly colored stains are yellowed by aging more than dark and deep stain colors. Please take these influences into account when selecting the type of wood, stain color and varnish. The lacquer layer over a wooden floor will become bare over time, depending on the intensity of use. Careful maintenance or a new paint layer prevents a very labor-intensive renovation. This is urgently required if the stain layer is already damaged. You and your customers will be informed about the result of your work by making a test panel of the stain and the paint on a sufficiently large original parquet sample.
